What are symptoms of cataracts?
Cataracts tend to develop quite slowly, and occur as a result of a number of factors, including age, injury, and illness. When cataracts first begin to form, you may not notice any obstruction to your vision. As they get larger, however, you may begin to notice that your vision is getting increasingly cloudy, like looking at the world through frosted glass. You may also notice an increase in halos around images and glare, as well as an increased sensitivity to light. Over time, cataracts can result in significant loss of vision. If you have cataracts, our Texas low vision team can give you tips on how best to preserve and take advantage of your remaining vision so that you can continue living the independent life you deserve!
