Dr. Thomas Azman, Low Vision Specialist

Dr. Thomas Azman is a world renowned Low Vision Specialist dedicating his life to helping individuals of all ages who suffer from severe vision loss. Since 1975, Dr. Azman has provided unique comprehensive low vision care to patients challenged by macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, stargardt’s, albinism, and retinitis pigmentosa, TBI (stroke), and other sight loss conditions.

His patients come from the next block as well as all corners of the world. Dr. Azman travels extensively treating patients from as far as Australia and Thailand and often lectures on the newest options for enhancing eyesight.

With over 98% success rate, Dr. Azman has helped thousands of patients regain vision, independence and a quality of life they could only imagine. Dr. Azman is a Fellow in the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists and a member of the Low Vision Rehabilitation Section of the American Optometric Association. Low Vision Specialists of Maryland and Virginia has offices in Alexandria, Annapolis, Baltimore, Bethesda, Bowie, Columbia, Frederick, Germantown, Glen Burnie, Pikesville, Manassas, National Harbor, Tysons Corner, Timonium, Vienna, and White Marsh. Dr. Azman also makes house calls for those who are homebound.
