Dr. Greg Evans O.D. a Palm Springs resident for over 20 years has been in practice almost 40 years. He received his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Pacific University and Optometry degree from Pacific University. He has over 3 decades of experience at providing medical and refractive eye care. Dr. Evans believes that patients suffering from vision impairment from diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, glaucoma, optic neuritis, trauma, retinitis pigmentosa and host of other conditions deserve the opportunity to expand on the vision they have. As a member of the International Association of Low Vision Specialists he has post-doctoral training under Dr. Richard Schuldiner. He is committed to not only providing low vision care but to continuing to participate in the latest developments in the delivery of this care.
As a practice we are helping patients lead more normal lives, enriching their abilities to function and restoring their independence and self-esteem. Changing lives through low vision care is a passion and I am humbled by the privilege to do this.
Many of my patients have been told by their eye doctors that there is nothing else that can be done. I can’t return their vision to their youth but I take the vision they have and help them see and do many of the things they want to do. Thanks to the miracle of prescription low vision devices such as telescopes, bioptics and microscopes I can help patients cope with visual impairment.
