Dr. Ahn received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Southern California and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Ahn completed an externship in Low Vision at the Center for Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, California. She was also an intern at the Blind Children’s Learning Center.
Dr. Ahn’s commitment to improving lives has motivated her to serve her community as an optometrist for over 20 years. She is passionate about helping people with vision needs including challenging and complex vision issues. Dr. Ahn received special post-doctoral training in Low Vision with renowned Low Vision diplomate Dr. Richard Shuldiner, O.D., F.A.A.O. and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists, an elite group of low vision doctors.
Dr. Ahn uses custom-designed glasses including biopic telescopes and prismatics to help people improve their abilities to drive, read their mail, play cards, recognize faces and watch TV as well as their independence and quality of life.
